These terms govern your use of this website and the brokerage services provided by Greencrest Van Lines LLC.
Broker status
Greencrest Van Lines LLC is a licensed household goods moving broker. We are not a motor carrier. We do not own or operate moving trucks and we do not transport household goods. All transportation services are performed by independent motor carriers that hold their own operating authority and insurance. The carrier assigned to your shipment is solely responsible for the transportation, loading, unloading and handling of your goods.
Estimates
Estimates are based on the information you provide, including inventory, access conditions, dates and requested services. If actual conditions differ at pickup or delivery, final charges assessed by the carrier may differ from the estimate. Your written agreement and the carrier's bill of lading govern final pricing.
Deposits and cancellations
A deposit may be required to reserve dates and carrier capacity. Cancellation windows, refund eligibility and any applicable fees are set out in the written agreement you receive before payment. Please read that agreement carefully before booking.
Claims and liability
Claims for loss or damage are handled by the motor carrier that transported your shipment, under the valuation coverage you selected on the bill of lading. Greencrest will assist in directing your claim to the correct carrier but is not the liable party for cargo loss or damage.
Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate inventory, address and access information.
- Disclose specialty, hazardous or prohibited items before the move.
- Be available, or designate an authorized adult, at pickup and delivery.
- Review and sign carrier documents before loading begins.
